Vineyard Landscape in Wood Shutter Frame Wonderful Wall Décor Piece

Printed Vineyard Artwork Enclosed in a Shutter Frame, Restored by CurioStar

This is a CurioStar special, and we've had a great time handling it! A wonderful vineyard scenescape canvas print, framed by real wood in the likeness of a window shutter. This piece hangs by two hardware pieces. Each door opens to reveal the image, which is printed on fabric adhered to pallet board. This will make for a unique interactive art piece for your home!

Upon discovery, the overall piece was in decent physical condition. The wood had darkened and was too far gone to simply clean away. We started by removing the shutters and sanded down each of the three pieces (the painting is entirely removable, and has not been damaged). A light Sun Red stain/poly was applied, and this let us see the natural depths and uneven of color the wood. A few areas of the wood needed filling and sanded down, as well. 

Notes From CurioStar: Though restored, this piece remains to be in vintage condition, with various imperfections. Most notably, one of the shutter doors was warped and does not close all the way, but it can stay in the closed position. There is no fixing warped wood, so we did our best flatten it out with further sanding.
