Beige/Yellow Wood Jewelry Box with Flip Top Mirror

This classic Centurion brand jewelry box started its life in the late 90's, with various styles and made of high quality materials. It features a flip-top lid with an uncompromised mirror on the underside. The first tier has (12) 1.2 x 1.2" pockets to host many of your favorite miniature jewelry pieces. The dividers you see can easily be removed and re-shaped in many ways to fit other sized baubles. A bottom drawer opens up and has been fitted with a (permanent) ring holder. This is a timeless piece that can fit in smaller spaces and is in giftable condition!

This jewelry box was perfect for out restoration workshop! I started by sanding the entire piece because the lacquer had begun to yellow. I then smoothed the many scratches and knicks, and gave the piece a mineral oil wipe following (2) wax coatings. The hardware, once blackened, has been polished just enough to retain its vintage look. I then conditioned the interior fabric as much as possible, though it may still display some dust-caused fading. Those black spots you see on the side are just a product of poorly-selected wood. This process took about 6 working hours to complete. 

Notes From CurioStar: This piece, although restored, remains in vintage condition with various imperfections. We applied 2 coats of beeswax, but you may apply more if you wish as time goes on. The more you apply, the less is required for long-lasting beauty.
